Rihanna Might Be Teasing New Music, And OH MY GOD
It looks like Rihanna is teasing new music off of her upcoming eighth studio album, allegedly titled R8, and this is not a drill. Or, maybe it is. Either way AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
In a new video posted on the singer's recently Rih-vived Instagram account Tuesday (Nov. 25), a new song plays in a dark room. "Ph--kin roun in da studio," @badgalriri writes in the caption.
I'm so happy I could climb right out of my R8 weep-hole, but I won't.
The track finds Rih singing over a siren: "Ain't none of this sh-t promised, ain't none of this promised/ Ain't none of this sh-t certain, ain't none of it certain."
Hopefully, she's not referring to rumors that her new album will be released before the end of the year. An alleged track list has been circulating online for the past few weeks, but I wouldn't put much stock in it. A similarly official-looking track list for BEYONCÉ [Platinum Edition] made the Twitter rounds earlier this fall, too, and we all know how accurate that turned out to be.
As desperate as we all might be for status updates on Rihanna's new album, we'll just have to be patient. There's only one person who can decide when the R8 era will officially begin, and that's Rihanna.
