While the music festival market is flooded with options, Hangout Festival remains one of the best of the bunch. Why? Well, it's on a beach. And, as if you needed more reasons than that, the lineup for Hangout Fest 2015 is officially here, and it looks better than ever before, with over 50 different live performances over three gorgeous days -- May 15, 16 and 17 -- on the sunny, sandy shores of Alabama.
Need a reason to book a one-way ticket to Gulf Shores, Alabama? (I say one-way because you'll probably never wanna come back?) Here are 15 of 'em, plus the entire 2015 Hangout Festival lineup! Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Jan. 13!
Yes, the actual Foo Fighters. American rock legends and heroes? Those Foo Fighters. Surely you've heard of them.
One does not simply have a music festival without an EDM headliner. And this year it's Skrillex. Can we put in our request for that "7/11" remix with a special guest appearance by Diplo?
Two turntables, one mic, one beach, one legend. Almost makes you wanna smoke crack. (Note: It's a Beck reference. Don't actually do it.)
Here for Chicago rap, here for Tetsuo & Youth.
Now you can't get "Majah Lazah" out of your head, right?
Krewella's gonna be there, and we can't promise you fire. We can only promise you'll dance.
Get involved, because the Future Island train's left the station.
"Nothing But Trouble"? More like "Nothing But Obsessed" with Phantogram.
Dear Jenny Lewis: Please don't forget your rainbow guitar. And don't forget that I love you.
You know that song "Reflections" you and your friends blast at deafening volumes in your car because it feels like flying? It's by Misterwives, and they're incredible.
Do you... wanna see Spoon on the beach? Yes. You do.
FOSTER THE PEOPLE!
For those of you who enjoy safe, substance-free psychedelia, might I suggest Foster The People?
ZAC BROWN BAND!
Beards optional. Wait. Actually, they're not, Zac Brown Band. They're definitely not.
Speaking of beards and dreaminess, have you met Vance Joy?
The fact that Hangout Fest's located on the beach of Gulf Shores, Alabama and past lineups that have included the likes of Tom Petty, Childish Gambino, The Flaming Lips, and even hip-hop legends like Outkast are just a few reasons why we're pretty sure this fest is the only one you need.
So mark your calendars for May 15, 16 and 17, 2015, and start getting amped for Hangout Festival 2015!
