Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin caught our attention first thing in 2016 by kissing on vacation. For some, it was a little hard to take, since it seems like just yesterday when Justin was pining over ex Selena Gomez in interviews and serenading her in hotel bars.

But Hailey isn't just some fling. The two friends met in 2009 and, in the past two years, have rolled their friendship into something more tasty.

I decided to walk you through their relationship by documenting a few key moments in the Baldwin/Bieber timeline.

Of course, I didn't compile every. single. moment between Justin and Hailey -- because I like my sanity and I have already spent enough company time going through Bieber's Instagram in the first place -- but hopefully, this list will help you understand the blooming relationship that is #Jailey:

2009 - Stephen Baldwin introduces Bieber to his daughter Hailey

October 2009 - They get a pic together backstage at the 'Today' show

February 2011 - Hailey and her dad Stephen pose with Justin at the premiere of 'Never Say Never'

February 2011 - Justin and Selena Gomez make their relationship official.

After lots of speculation, Jelena is officially born at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscars party.

May 2011 - She declares her love for Justin and then girlfriend Selena Gomez

September 2011 - And backs it up!

These tweets have since been deleted.

2011 - Hailey stars in Bieber's pal Cody Simpson's video 'On My Mind'

Simpson and Bieber would later record a collaboration of their own, "Home To Mama." Cody was rumored to date Kylie Jenner as a kid and went on to date Hailey's friend Gigi Hadid.

July 2012 - Hailey and Austin Mahone start a friendship

Mahone and Baldwin were photographed playing at the beach.

Justin and Austin, who both found fame on YouTube, have always drawn comparisons, and even exchanged words for copping each other's style.

January 2014 - Ringing in the New Year With Selena

Although the couple had been on-again-off-again a trillion times (and continued to call it off and on throughout 2014 and 2015), Jelena were together for the New Year.

April 2014 - Selena drops the Jenners

Gomez unfollowed many people on social media, including the Jenners, who she had previously gotten close with. She deleted all her pictures with Kendall and Kylie Jenner. It was around this time that Selena made her split with Bieber more permanent, and after that, she started telling interviewers that she was single.

September 2014 - Justin starts hanging with Kendall Jenner more and more.

Here, they were seen on a date that many thought it was a more ~romantic~ rendezvous. This was during Paris Fashion Week, where Bieber met up with Kardashians, Jenners and Gigi Hadid. We wouldn't be surprised if Kendall re-introduced Hailey to the Biebs, since Hailey and Kendall were extremely good friends.

November 2014 - Church with Kendall and Hailey

Justin invited Hailz and Kendall Jenner to church in New York City.

December 2014 - Good night's sleep

After dinner and a movie and then breakfast the next day, rumors swirled that Hailey and Justin spent the night together, but H was quick to dispel them.

December 2014 - Justin posts the Instagram that clarifies his 'single' status.

"People are crazy. I'm super single and this is my good friend u would know otherwise," he wrote.

December 2014 - 'There's nothing more to it than that.'

Hailey told E!: "I've known him since I was so young—since I was like 13—and we've just been good friends over the years. We have just stayed close and there's nothing more to it than that."

January 2015 - Ringing in the New Year with Hailey

Much like this year, Justin took Hailey on vacation -- this time to the Turks and Caicos.

January 2015 - Clips game

At this point, it seemed like the Bieber-Jenner-Baldwin trio were chilling every day. At the Clips game, they met up with their Vine famous friends.

March 2015 - Hailey presents his birthday cake

Hailey and dad Jeremy Bieber carried in a sparkly cake for Bieber, who turned 21. You can hear Hailey mimic DJ Khaled's classic "another one" in the video -- nearly a year before JB's epic parody of Khaled on Snapchat.

April 2015 - Bring on Coachella!

Kendall and Bieber were getting pretty close in April, around the same time that Hailey and Kendall went to Coachella together, posting tons of bikini selfies.

April 2015 - Fans make up rumor that Justin proposed

Obviously, all the photos were 'shopped, but for a second there, Beliebers had a trending topic.

April 2015 - The three musketeers hang out at Duff's CakeMix in Beverly Hills

June 2015 - A relaxing day by the pool

Paps caught Justin and Hailey getting pretty cuddly in Miami.

June 2015 - Hillsong conference in Australia

Hailey and Justin hung out with Hillsong Church power couple Carl and Laura Lentz.

July 2015 - 'Coolest Baldwin I know'

Justin snapped a pic with Hailey's dad, trolling fans by captioning it "With the coolest Baldwin I know @Stephenbaldwin7." Harrumph!

July 2015 - Justin and Hailey have matching tattoos

Justin got a "G" tattooed on his arm in July, a month after Hailz got the same letter inked behind her ear. The "G" stands for Georgia, the daughter of good friends Pastor Chad Veach and wife Julia who was born with Lissencephaly. Selena Gomez and Ashley Benson also have the "G" tattoo.

August 2015 - Hailey follows Justin on Instagram after briefly unfollowing

October 2015 - Strolling with Hailey

November 2015 - Strolling with Selena

Justin and Selena, who were both performers at the American Music Awards that month, were seen hanging out on several occasions -- he even sang "My Girl" to her in a hotel bar.
