Kanye West Joins Kim And Khloe Kardashian On Armenian Quest To Discover Their Roots

KimYe, North and Khloe have major plans for this trip.

Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, North West and Khloe Kardashian are getting in touch with some of the Kardashian family's roots with a big trip to Armenia.

The family arrived in the country (where their Kardashian ancestors are from) on Wednesday, Apr. 8, for a major trip and they were greeted by a large crowd of journalists, according to The New York Times.

Khloe captured some of the reception on Instagram today, thanking fans for their support, as well.

"The love and welcoming to Armenia has been overwhelmingly beautiful," Khloe said in the post's caption. "I wholeheartedly, can't believe all of you angels who are outside our hotel with flowers and smiles. I'm incredibly eager to get some sleep and see Armenia in the day light! I hope I'm able to sleep. I'm so excited to be here!"

Apparently, they’ve got big plans for the trip. They’re gearing up to meet politicians and even visit Gyumri, where some of their ancestors may live, according to TMZ.

The Times also reports that the trip could draw attention to April 24, a date the country recognizes as the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

However, a Kardashian rep reportedly told USA Today that the trip wasn’t necessarily about the commemoration. Instead, the rep explained, it was planned as a family outing meant to connect the Kardashians to their roots. Still, the fam reportedly plans to visit a Genocide museum in Yerevan while they're there.

According to USA Today, the trip is also set to appear on "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" so it seems we'll be seeing more from their trip soon.
