Chance The Rapper Still Can’t Believe He Got To Perform With Alicia Keys

A true ‘blessing’ 🙏

Earlier this month, Chance the Rapper made headlines when he tackled a stage-rushing fan while singing “Blessings” at a Miami concert. Last night (October 19), during a performance of the same song, Chance was floored yet again — only this time, it was because he was singing alongside the one and only Alicia Keys.

The two teamed up onstage during the 13th annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball charity concert in New York City. Keys, who hosted the event, played piano and duetted with Chance, which left him adorably stunned.

“This is video of @AliciaKeys surprising me on stage and me attempting to sing w her before remembering she’s Alicia,” he tweeted after the performance, linking to a video of their gospel-tinged duet.

Later in the performance, Keys called the Coloring Book MC “one of a kind” and “a special guy,” to which he could only respond, “This is so surreal right now.” He continued, “This is probably the most important thing that I’ve done in a while and probably the most important thing that I will do in a while. ... Please be involved, get involved, because there’s a blessing right around the corner.”

Damn ... between performing with Keys and being invited to the White House for President Obama’s last state dinner, Chance sure is having a stellar week. See another clip from their performance below, as well as footage from the same event of Keys joining A$AP Rocky for “Blended Family (What You Do For Love).”
