12 Celebs Who Keep Their Iconic Movie Characters Alive
Halloween is the one time of year you can be anyone other than yourself, and in actors’ cases, they can choose to be movie characters from their pasts. Whether celebrities reunite for a film’s anniversary or just feel like traveling down memory lane in style, we’re so thankful these actors are keeping their various movie characters from the ’90s and ’00s — and one from the ’80s — alive and well.
Before she was Lizzie McGuire, Duff was Wendy the Good Little Witch in Casper Meets Wendy. Thanks to a Snapchat filter, Duff was able to flawlessly recreate her early movie character.
LiLo’s channeled her Parent Trap characters several times on Instagram, including when she did the famous face-on-hand pose, when she Dubsmashed herself, and when she rocked the tweed jacket above.
Most of the Saved by the Bell squad stopped by The Tonight Show in 2015 to hang out with host Jimmy Fallon at ol’ Bayside High. (Yeah, yeah, Saved by the Bell is a TV show, not a movie, but they did have a few TV movies, so we’re counting it.)

Oliver played evil kid Junior, and was reunited with his Problem Child 2 costar, Ivyann Schwan, for a 2013 photo shoot with 22 Vision.

After High School Musical 4 was announced, everyone lost their minds and wanted to be the next Wildcat. Johnson, who played Zac Efron’s movie dad, Coach Jack Bolton, in the first three films, donned his coaching gear and made a parody video about auditioning for the newest movie in the Disney franchise.
Though she didn’t don Sharpay Evans’s stylish pink look, Tisdale’s shirt from Signorelli, of which she’s the creative director, channels one of her songs from High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

Before he was part of the American Pie universe, Nicholas was a child actor in several films, including Rookie of the Year. He showed up to Hilarity for Charity’s 5th Annual Los Angeles Variety Show on October 15, sporting Henry Rowengartner’s Chicago Cubs jersey his character wore in the movie.
