Exes Ariana Grande And Nathan Sykes Have Reunited For A New Duet

Hear the teasers for their 'sappy' song 'Over and Over Again.'

Remember when Ariana Grande and Nathan Sykes were a couple? It feels like an eternity ago, because it practically was: The then-teen pop stars dated for a fleeting four months in 2013 after collaborating on the track “Almost Is Never Enough,” and then seemed to move on faster than a flick of Ari’s ponytail.

Much to our collective delight, though, it appears these exes are A-OK with each other — so much so, in fact, that they’ve decided to work together again. Nariana fans rejoice!

Last week, the former The Wanted singer revealed on Twitter that he’d be releasing an alternate version of his solo track “Over and Over Again” with a “very special” guest.

Two days later, fans started to piece the puzzle together after Ari shared lyrics from the song on Twitter.

Could it be?! Could the former couple really be reuniting for one last swan song? We got that answer on Monday, when Sykes tweeted out a snippet of the duet, which arrives in full on Jan. 15. Ari followed suit shortly after by sharing another, pink-themed teaser of her own.

Last April, Nathan told MTV News about “Over and Over Again,” describing it as a “nice love ballad.”

“I sat there and said, ‘I need to write a nice love ballad,’ because all these songs are [about] breakups and near-relationships, like no one loves me,” he said. “So I flew out to LA and I was like, ’Yes, I wrote a nice love song,’ and it’s really sweet. It made me feel a bit nauseous reading the lyrics, I was in a sappy mood.”

Sweet… sappy… sounds like this duet’s the perfect soundtrack for Christmas & Chillin’, right Ari?
