John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are just ordinary people, but when it comes to surprise parties, they pull out all the stops. As if we needed yet another reason to adore this couple.

The singer-songwriter threw a birthday party for his wife Saturday night (Teigen turns 30 today, Nov. 30) at New York's Comedy Cellar, secretly inviting family and friends to join in on most epic party ever. (We're just going to assume our invite got lost in the mail... right, Legend?)

Momofuku pork buns, music from DJ Nice and a surprise performance from Dave Chappelle?! There's no doubt the Legends were sneaking slices of Momofuku birthday cake to that after party.

Of course, the least surprising moment of the night, but probably the most romantic, came when Legend serenaded a beaming Teigen with a lovely rendition of "Happy Birthday" -- which is honestly something that should happen to everybody when they turn 30. Seriously, Legend. Call me.

The day after the big surprise bash, Teigen tweeted, "I can't imagine a single thing more I wanted out of my twenties. Greatest friends and family ever, ever, ever." Aww!

The couple, who were married two years ago in Italy, recently announced that they were expecting their first child. Love is alive and well in the Legend-Teigen household.
