Who Are The Mysterious Members Of Joe Jonas' New Band DNCE?

Get to know the 'Cake'-eaters.

Last night, Joe Jonas' funky new band DNCE lived up to its name and premiered a highly danceable new song called "Cake By The Ocean." Joe and co. were appropriately stoked, posting a celebratory video to Instagram shortly after.

Based on this video and the band's official Insta page, it's clear: This isn't just a Joe-centric project. There are three other members in DNCE that help the springy, buoyant funk-pop come to life -- and as we've mentioned before, their names are JinJoo Lee, Cole Whittle and Jack Lawless. But who are they, really? And how did JJ get hooked up with them to form, as their Insta page puts it, "your new favorite band"?

That's what we're here to find out.

Joe Jonas

What He Does Now: Sings, sways, plays killer air drums.

What He's Done Before: The Jonas Brothers, obviously. But more recently, he's made it weird on Instagram and formed unlikely fashion triumvirates.

His Best Moment So Far: The aforementioned air-drumming to "Cake By The Ocean" when it premiered on Z100 Monday night.

JinJoo Lee

What She Does Now: Plays guitar, consistently rocks the coolest shades in the crew.

What She's Done Before: Rocked out as touring guitarist for Charli XCX, Jordin Sparks, JoJo, Ciara and in Scarlet Fever, Cee Lo Green's touring band from 2010-2011. Oh, and she played with the Jo Bros back in the day, too.

Her Best Moment So Far: Being the cool one, the stoic one and the stylish one at all times.

Cole Whittle

What He Does Now: Plays bass, wears awesome jackets, looks steely into the camera.

What He's Done Before: Crushed it on bass in NYC garage band Semi Precious Weapons, which toured with Lady Gaga and Ke$ha, as well as on a Dumpster Hunter album.

His Best Moment So Far: His ice-cold gaze at the beginning of the "Cake By The Ocean" teaser. It moves us.

Jack Lawless

What He Does Now: Plays drums, nods enthusiastically along to DNCE songs when being filmed, sports the token beard.

What He's Done Before: Joined the Jo Bros as drummer in 2007 and played on Demi Lovato's debut album, Don't Forget.

His Best Moment So Far: His high five with Joe when they listened to "Cake By The Ocean" on the radio for the first time. A future #TBT in the making if we've ever seen one.
