Little Black Stars around the world are collectively praying for Avril Lavigne's return to good health after she revealed the reason behind her mysterious public absence.

Twitter fan @AvrilMusicChart hit up the "Hello Kitty" singer on DM Saturday (December 6) inquiring if Lavigne was in the studio working on a new album, considering it's been over a year since the release of her 2013 self-titled LP.

"I feel bad, because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them know why I've been absent. I'm torn, as I'm quite private," Avril responded, following up with a vague statement on her health. "I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers."

Shortly thereafter, fans began sharing their well wishes to the female rocker with the #PrayForAvril hashtag.

A rep for Lavigne spoke with Billboard to confirm the authenticity of the DM Twitter exchange. However, they did not divulge any details pertaining to the seriousness of her condition, save for the fact that she is not pregnant.
