17 Disney Channel Bands You Wished Were Real

They all deserved Grammys

There must be a law somewhere stating that all sitcoms must have a "band episode" in some way, shape, or form, and Disney Channel is no exception. Several of its past series and DCOMs featured fake bands that were actually pretty good and had some super catchy songs.

In honor of these bands that never went on tour, we're remembering 17 fake music groups we wish were actually legit. If someone could make a Spotify playlist with all of their jams, that'd be great.

Boyz N Motion

Disney

Boyz N Motion - That'

The boy band that slayed all other boy bands (sorry, 1D) came from the wonderful world of That's So Raven. Ricky, J.J., and Trey gave you their devotion and taught you how to be prepared for emergencies.

Microbe

Disney

Zenon

While Proto Zoa was the Adam Levine of this band from the Zenon DCOMs, there were actually other members of Microbe. Not that we cared about them.

Twitty-Stevens Connection

Disney

Even Stevens

The Even Stevens episode that was basically one big mockumentary followed the ups and downs of an eclectic band called Twitty-Stevens Connection. The band did give us "Another Perfect Day," which is still just as catchy now as it was in 2002.

Spoink

Disney

Lizzie McGuire

Actually, Matt's band from Lizzie McGuire never decided on a name, but Spoink was at least one of the options. Besides Matt and Lanny, drummer Rick Marotta was also a member of the short-lived band.

Alabaster Carnation

Disney

Wizards of Waverly Place

Formerly known as BURN, the brother-sister duo from Wizards of Waverly Place gave the world the song "Make It Happen" and proved to their dad they could hack it as rock stars.

The Zetta Bytes

Disney

Pixel Perfect

The band from Pixel Perfect that featured a holographic singer had several hits, including "Nothing's Wrong With Me" and "Notice Me."

Cory and the Boys

Disney

That'

Cory's band from That's So Raven gave us the classic hit, "Can You Feel The Love" — a.k.a. a song I guarantee will be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

DC 3

Disney

Cory in the House

Later on Cory in the House, Cory ditched his previous band to form DC 3. The trio consisted of Cory, Newt, and Meena, although they did have to deal with Sophie that one time. DC 3 gave us hits such as "Turn It Up" and "More Than Friends."

Rock Squared

Disney

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

Zack and Cody's band, which also included Max and Tapeworm, won the Battle of the Bands contest with their song "School's Out." The winner was supposed to cut a demo record, but did we ever get that record? NOPE.

Waterworks

Disney

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

Waterworks, also from that Suite Life episode, featured Maddie, Lance the lifeguard, and tone-deaf London. "The Only One" was a pre–High School Musical era jam, for sure.

Oh Boyz

Disney

Kim Possible

The boy band from Kim Possible, featuring Robby, Ryan, Dexter, and Nicky Nick, were eventually managed by Rufus (the naked mole rat) after getting kidnapped by Señor Senior, Senior. How could anyone forget that classic song, "Quit Playing Games with My Head”?

Midnight Sam and the Love Patrol

Disney

Lizzie McGuire

The Lizzie McGuire dad admitted he was in a band with his "cousin Ree-Ree and [his] buddy Stucko." Based on the flashback, the band was clearly a product of the 1970s.

Bobby Proud and DisFunkshunal Junction

Disney

The Proud Family

Oscar Proud's eccentric brother Bobby from The Proud Family had his own funk band with the hit song, "So Disfunkshunal." One band member even played the keytar.

LPDZ

Disney

The Proud Family

Penny Proud's girl group, featuring LaCienega, Dijonay, and Zoey, won the Hip-Hop Helicopter Dance Contest and briefly toured before Penny pulled a Justin Timberlake and went solo. One of their big hits was "We Are Best Friends."

Connect 3

Disney

Camp Rock - Jonas Brothers

The song "Play My Music" from Camp Rock was definitely a summertime jam and featured all three Jonas Brothers. Of course, we also had the JoBros as a band IRL, so I guess we kinda got Connect 3 after all.

Liz Anya

Disney

Liz Anya - That'

The That's So Raven band-in-disguise gave a rousing rendition of "When the Saints Go Marching In," tweaking the lyrics to become the anthem, "Bring Victor Back."

The Cheetah Girls

Disney

The Cheetah Girls

With three hit movies under their belt, it feels like The Cheetah Girls were a real pop group; alas, they were merely a product of Disney Channel. At least we can still rock out to "Strut" and "Step Up" whenever we're feeling cheetah-licious.
