Whoever said college years are the right time to experiment VERY CLEARLY overlooked "Faking It"'s Hester High School.

The MTV comedy, which follows teenage best friends Amy and Karma as they navigate the world of sexual self-discovery and lunchroom politicking, is officially returning to MTV on August 31 at 9:30/8:30c. And if you thought Karmy's troubles were complex before, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

At the tail end of the most recent collection of episodes, Karma and Amy -- who successfully tricked their classmates into believing they were a lesbian couple -- were forced to deal with the upshot of eventually being outed as liars (let's not forget, either, that Karma discovered Amy slept with her boyfriend Liam out of spite). And in the teaser for the story's upcoming chapters below, the HHS gang is still miles away from being peachy keen.

In the video, Amy, who learned that she was earnestly attracted to women during her same-sex parody, will struggle to commit to her new girlfriend Reagan when a witty guy named Felix catches her eye. All the while, Karma, who indeed forgave Amy and Liam for their transgression, will still struggle to let it go and is forced to ask through tears, "What if we can't come back from this? What if this is the beginning of the end?"
