SCURRT! That would be the sound of breaks grinding to a halt, which was heard both inside AND outside our NYC office, as we caught wind that A$AP Rocky, Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn were shooting brand new ads for DKNY in the middle of Times Square yesterday. So much for those rumors about Rita Ora replacing her BFF, Cara, in the designer’s taxi cab campaigns, eh? Looks like there’s room for more than one pretty face in the DKNY family, which is really great news because we’d hate to see #FASHUN tear anyone apart.

In recent months, DKNY has had Times Square on lock (slash lock DOWN—hello, beefy security guards), as they've now shot several campaigns in, on and around yellow cabs beneath the big city lights. It’s kind of getting to the point where we can’t hail a taxi without wanting to stand on top of it in color-blocked clothing, which is, in all actuality, kind of genius marketing. (P.S. DO NOT TRY AT HOME OR IN TIMES SQUARE!)
Especially since they've added Rocky to the mix now, because y’all KNOW we love that pretty motha-WHAT! Wait. Did we totally miss some significant signs when the rapper performed at DKNY’s 25th birthday bash during New York Fashion Week this year? We kind of figured that his set was just another show of his DKNY appreciation, but it definitely makes sense that Rocky would suit up for the brand–after all, he did freelance model back in the day. And he does look RULL good in some slim lines.
Are you excited to see Rocky back in the modeling game or should he stick to rapping? Also, are you SO RELIEVED that Cara, Rita and Jourdan can all continue to be DKNY models AND still be besties?
