Miley Cyrus Made Seriously 'Questionable' Purchases While She Was In The Hospital

'I ended up doing way too much online shopping,' Miley told Ryan Seacrest.

Just days after getting out of the hospital following a a week-long stay to deal with a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics, Miley Cyrus is back on her grind ... and the proud owner of some seriously weird impulse buys.

The singer officially left the hospital on Friday and on Monday morning (April 28) she told Ryan Seacrest that she's on the mend and really excited to get back to performing, while simultaneously horrified to find out what kind of pain med-induced impulse purchases she made while trying to kill time in her hospital bed.

"I'm doing good, I'm much better," she told Seacrest on his radio show. "I'm happy to be getting back on the road ... you have no idea." The singer explained that she got sick with a cold/flu in the midst of her Bangerz tour, which forced her to postpone a show in North Carolina at the beginning of the month.

But what felt like a lingering cough got worse, so doctors gave her some antibiotics she'd never taken before. "I was on this medicine for five days, everything was all good and on the sixth day just I woke up ... it was so scary ... When you're allergic to something you're literally poisoning in yourself. I had basically been poisoning myself for a week with something I was really scary allergic to."

And if you know Miley, you know she's not one to sit around and not work if she can help it. "[Some] people [got] mad at me for bailing," she said of the minority of people online who thought there was something else behind the postponed shows. "This isn't, 'I got a little cold and I want an excuse to play hooky.' There is no part of me that wants to lay in bed and not be on stage," she said. "I wanted to be on the tour so bad."

In fact, because she's not one to ever "lay down and get 100 percent better," once the allergic reaction kicked in, Cyrus said she left the hospital the night after she was admitted still psyched to do her next show. But she woke up that morning and had to go back to the hospital, left again and was right back in her bed three hours later when she was feeling ill again. "I was back having this insane reaction," she said of the 2-3 hour cycle of feeling better, then worse. "I was begging the doctor to let me out just to go do the show. But there was no way."

She never thought she'd be hospitalized for more than a day, but Cyrus actually spent nearly a week at the Kansas City facility. And, if you know Miley at all, you know that having to sit (or lay) still for a week is the kind of thing that would surely drive her crazy. And it did.

"I was just crying because I was so bored!" she said. Having to just lie there and be poked and prodded every few hours was a nightmare, one that sister Noah tried to alleviate by buying Cyrus copies of "The Shining" and "Clueless" on Blu-Ray. Only, go figure, the hospital didn't have a Blu-Ray player. So, pumped full of pain-killing drugs, Miley did the next natural thing: she made a lot of suspect purchases.

"I ended up doing way too much online shopping," she said. "Whatever they had me on to make me not in pain I made some very questionable choices on what I bought. I'm like, 'I do not know what this hot pink miniskirt is that I bought in the hospital.'"

The good news is that there should be no long-term health effects other than having to come up with a "fashionable" ID bracelet that announces her allergy to penicillin and its derivatives. And, as a bonus, Miley got to take a medical flight back to Los Angeles while hooked up to an IV and her first ambulance ride, which she was so psyched about she sent pictures to her dad Billy Ray and her granny.

"The only good part about this whole thing is I feel like I get to go on another tour," she said of the rescheduled U.S. dates in August. But first, she flies to Amsterdam on Wednesday to start rehearsals for the European leg of the tour, which kicks off on Friday. When she returns she'll have a month off and then it's back on the road for the final scheduled U.S. dates. In the meantime she said she's also trying to figure out what the next single and video will be from Bangerz.
