New 'Hunger Games' Clip Targets the Gamemakers

brand new "Hunger Games" clip has been sent down from The Capitol, and Oh My Katniss is it a great one.

Those who've read Suzanne Collins' book to prepare for the Games know exactly which scene this is, but for the uninitiated, it's a moment when Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) must show off her skills to the Hunger Games' organizers (The Gamemakers) in the hopes of getting high marks and hopefully some sponsorship opportunities in the Arena.

Seneca Crane (Wes Bentley) and the rest of the Gamemakers lot have already seen twenty-something tributes by this point, though, so they don't even notice when Katniss hits a clean bullseye from across the room in one shot with her trusty archery knack. Their attention is instead focused squarely on a roasted pig - not the subtlest of metaphors - that's just been delivered.

So, in sassy Katniss form, she takes aim for their dinner. She does not miss.

Virtually everyone is lapping praise upon Jennifer Lawrence's work in "The Hunger Games" - including, most recently, Suzanne Collins herself - and in this scene, she does indeed present a subtle frustration that's quite impressive for the moment. Don't you think?
