Missy, P. Diddy, Snoop, Busta Join Method Man On New LP

Long-awaited 'Tical 0: The Prequel' drops May 18.

And you thought the "Star Wars" prequels had some big names attached.

Forget about Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Samuel L. Jackson -- Method Man's prequel has P. Diddy, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and more.

Tical 0: The Prequel, the rapper's first solo album since 1998's Tical 2000: Judgement Day, is due May 18 and features a horde of high-profile collaborators, according to Meth's Def Jam Records spokesperson.

Busta Rhymes guests on the first single, "What's Happenin'," which debuted Tuesday on MTV's "Direct Effect." Diane Martel (N.E.R.D.) directed the video, an ode to Meth's debut single from 1994's Tical, "Bring the Pain," which also featured the rapper performing on a train.

P. Diddy produced and starred on "Say What"; Missy Elliott also makes a cameo appearance. Snoop and perennial Meth collaborator Redman guest on "We Some Dogs," and Ludacris joins the fun on "Rodeo."

Naturally, Method Man's Wu-Tang Clan cohorts step up as well: Ghostface is featured on "The Afterparty," while the RZA produced "The Turn," which also features Raekwon.

Meth is currently debuting material from the album on a club tour, which wraps May 2 in Englewood, Colorado.

After the trek, the rapper will promote his next movie, "Soul Plane," which opens May 28 and co-stars Snoop. He also has a sitcom with Redman, "Method & Red," about two rappers who move to a predominantly white community, scheduled to debut on FOX in the summer.
