Since the February release of his 88 mixtape, Nick Grant has been rolling out videos in support of the project, continuing to try to reach as many ears as possible as his fan base steadily grows. Following joints like "The Plan" and "Window Seat," Grant returns with "Black Sinatra."

The South Carolina native continues to prove why he's one of rap's most exciting emerging talents, delivering a black-and-white visual counterpart to the mixtape's fourth track. It's a fitting look into the musical world of Grant, a track that displays his commanding voice, graceful flow, and winding lyricism.

"When I was 9-years-old, my grandfather put me on to the Rat Pack," Grant told The Fader, referencing the group of famous entertainers from the 1950s and '60s, which included Frank Sinatra. "I loved everything about the crew, from Sammy Davis's style to Frank Sinatra’s confidence. I would look at these guys at a very young age and say this is how I want to dress, speak, and to have all the beautiful women that they had.

"I wanted to express all these things lyrically and become someone the kids could look up to and say I want to be him and not just because of the material things but more because of the ideas and things this crew represented. ‘Black Sinatra' is simply me expressing myself as the modern day gentleman with the street edge of a Donald Goines flick."

He's not just supporting 88, though. Nick is also dropping new music these days, including last week's "Black Boy/White Boy," an examination of preconceptions and stereotypes, which you can listen to below.
