You don't become one of the most powerful women on the planet by twiddling thumbs and prancing on ponies.

Young Il Kim's 2012 Black-Listed biopic "Rodham" aims to expose some of the professional and personal challenges Hillary Rodham (pre-Clinton) esquire extraordinaire faced long before her days as the First Lady, Senator of New York, Secretary of State and presumed presidential hopeful — in other words, as a b.a.m.f. — and now a director has been chosen for the job of bringing the pic to life. 

"The Spectacular Now" helmer James Ponsoldt been wrangled in by "Twilight" producers Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen for the pic (not coincidentally, the script for "Spectacular" was also a Black Lister in 2009), and an actress is soon to be sought for the job of portraying the eponymous role.

Temple Hill Entertainment has also released its official logline for the picture: "During the height of the Watergate scandal, rising star Hillary Rodham is the youngest lawyer chosen for the House Judiciary Committee to Impeach Nixon, but she soon finds herself forced to choose between a destined path to the White House and her unresolved feelings for Bill Clinton, her former boyfriend who now teaches law in Arkansas."

Oooh, drama.

Scribe Kim said, "Rodham" is, at its heart, the "journey of a woman who was torn between her personal desires and her professional ambition — both literally pulled her thousands of miles apart, because Bill did not want to leave Arkansas, and she did not want to leave Washington, D.C."

Per The Guardian, the pic's release is to be timed with her expected 2016 presidential run.

Anyone smell a little awards season fodder already? Not surprisingly, the industry's top actresses are said to be interested in the leading role.
