Pink Releasing New Single, Plans Minitour
Even as Pink writes songs for her upcoming second album, the pop/R&B singer is continuing to promote her debut release with a new single and a minitour of radio-station-sponsored shows.
"You Make Me Sick," the third single from Pink's Can't Take Me Home, was released to radio this week, with a commercial single slated for release before the end of the year, according to Arista Records.
She also recently finished the video for the song, which was directed by Dave Meyers (Britney Spears, Hanson, Kid Rock). In keeping with the song's theme of reluctant desire — "You make me sick/ I want you and I'm hatin' it," Pink moans on the chorus — the video depicts a couple caught in a love-hate relationship.
The 21-year-old singer, who is planning a full tour early next year, is spending much of December on the road as well, playing radio shows across the country.
Pink said in September that she hopes to record with a live band for her next album, due next year.
"[It's going to be] Annie Lennox meets Method Man, but live this time, because I might be able to afford a band," she said.
Can't Take Me Home, released in April, is close to being certified double-platinum, according to Arista.
