TLC Gives Props To Hype Williams For New Vid's Individuality

After more than a four-year layoff, TLC has returned to the charts with a storm with a new album, "Fan Mail," and a hot new single and video for its No. 1 single, "No Scrubs."

When it came time to shoot the video for "No Scrubs," TLC realized there was only man who could deliver the eye-popping, tactile look the trio was looking for, director and filmmaker Hype Williams.

During a recent interview, TLC talked about the video and how Williams was able to bring out the unique style of each member of the group onto the screen.

"First of all, this video was directed by Hype Williams," Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes said. "Let's see, this video takes place on a lot of sets, and the sets are made out of steel so it has that look that coincides with the album cover. But we each have individual parts on individual sets, so it's like our individual worlds. Man, I love this video because each of us has our own style."

TLC has also just been added to the lineup for this year's "VH1 Divas

Live" concert on April 13, where they'll join Tina Turner, Cher, Whitney Houston, LeAnn Rimes, Brandy and Mary J. Blige.
