Dub Pistols' Leader Takes Shot At Solo Tour
Barry Ashworth, svengali of the electronica act Dub Pistols, has packed up his decks for
a solo American club tour set to begin Friday (Feb. 12) at the Justice League in San
Francisco.
Starting on the West Coast, Ashworth will play DJ at stops in major cities throughout the
Pacific Northwest, the Midwest and the East Coast, before closing out his travels with
some shows in Florida and Southern California.
Joining Ashworth on the 20-date outing is DeeJay Punk-Roc, touring in support of his

A veteran of the London club scene and a former concert promoter, Ashworth first
hopped on stage as part of the dance-rock act Déjà Vu, before teaming with turntablist
Malcolm Wax, guitarist John King, bassist Jason O'Bryan and keyboardist William Borez
to form the current Dub Pistols lineup.
The quintet's latest LP, Point Blank, features tunes such as "Cyclone" -- with its
frantic ska beats, horns and New York rapper T.K. Lawrence on vocals -- and the drum
'n' bass-styled "Anarchy."
