Suge Knight Faces More Jail Time, Says He's Learned His Lesson

November 25 [7:55 EDT] -- It may be a little while longer before imprisoned Death Row Records CEO Marion "Suge" Knight is released from prison, but he says he'll be a changed man when that day comes.

The Associated Press reports that Knight, who is currently serving a nine-year sentence for parole violation, was handed another 18-month sentence on Monday for his involvement in a fight hours before his friend Tupac Shakur was gunned down in Las Vegas.

[article id="1430924"]As we first reported in February[/article], that same incident lead to Knight's initial sentence of just under nine years when a judge ruled that Knight violated the terms of his parole on a 1992 assault conviction. Now the AP reports that a judge has found that the fight, which occurred in the lobby of the MGM Grand hotel, was also a violation of Knight's 1994 conviction on Federal firearms trafficking charges.

The new sentence will run concurrent to the one Knight is already serving,

and it is expected that Suge will only face an additional six months in prison as opposed to 18.

Knight reportedly said that once he is freed, he will be a new man, saying, "I've learned my lesson, but I'm still learning. I want to learn as much as I can so I can get on with my life.
