Eddie Redmayne Hilariously Struggles To Hide 'Fantastic Beasts' From Airport Security

Nothing gets past TSA agent James Corden

No one, not even Eddie Redmayne, can escape airport security. In a Late Late Show sketch on Thursday night (November 17), Redmayne tries to take his trunk brimming with magical creatures on a flight. But a persistent TSA agent, a.k.a. James Corden, is not having it.

“Everybody here is in a hurry, sir, except for me,” Corden tells a visibly irritated Redmayne after something bizarre shows up on the x-ray scanner. “I’ve got all the time in the world. Let’s pop the bag, shall we?”

Redmayne, who plays Newt Scamander in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (which is out Friday) jumps in: “Please don’t open that.” Corden naturally doesn’t listen, and hilarity ensues.

Next time, perhaps Redmayne can check his bag instead of bringing a carry-on. Maybe then his fantastic beasts won’t wreak havoc on New York City.
