We recently learned everyone’s favorite stripper turned dancer turned actor Channing Tatum will soon be making waves as a mermaid in the remake of the 1984 movie Splash. But as it turns out, his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, actually “hinted” about her hubby’s role back in December 2015.

Remember when Channing shared that Insta of Jenna and their daughter Everly lounging around wearing mermaid costumes? Hint hint, wink wink, sheeple; the clue was right there in front of us all along.

On Friday (August 5), Jenna regrammed Channing’s pic and poked fun at his future costume — because what’s the point of getting married if you can’t tease your spouse? “That time I was trying on @channingtatum’s costume for Splash and everyone thought I was announcing a pregnancy,” Jenna captioned.

I’d pay good money to see Channing don a purple fin — just like I paid good money to see him grind to “Pony” (twice). Bless you for giving the people what they want, Chan.
