Michael Barret from Zoey 101 might not be the best singer whenever girls are around — looking at you, Lisa Perkins — but thankfully Christopher Massey doesn't have that issue.

The actor released his new single "Cali Summers" on Monday (August 1) and wrote on Instagram that the music video is "coming soon." This definitely isn't Massey's first foray into the music scene, as he and bro Kyle Massey (of That's So Raven fame) dropped their album Massey Boyz in 2013.

Interestingly, "Cali Summers" plays off of Smash Mouth's "All Star," tweaking the lyrics to describe his upbringing. He sings about being "raised down South" (in Atlanta, Georgia) and then moving to California to pursue acting, where "the money kept coming and it didn't stop coming / clock might stop but the time's still running." He also mentions cannabis, tanned girls, and Malibu's beach, a.k.a. California's summer trifecta.
