Birdman Claims He's Not Delaying Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V'

Back in December 2014, when Lil Wayne first publicly aired his issues with Birdman and Cash Money, he didn't mince words: "my album won't and hasn't been released bekuz Baby & Cash Money Rec. refuse to release it."

Though Wayne has released a bit of music in the time since -- the free mixtape Sorry 4 the Wait 2, Free Weezy Album on Tidal, and Collegrove, officially credited as a 2 Chainz album and distributed through Def Jam -- and took a picture with Birdman on New Year's Eve that suggested things were on the mend, Tha Carter V is still nowhere in sight.

Birdman, despite Tunechi's past claims, says he's not holding his label's star back from releasing his long-awaited solo album. In a new interview with Hot 97, he addressed the ongoing situation, and suggested that Wayne has the free will to release what he pleases. Here's what he had to say:
