Chris Hemsworth Delivers An Oscar-Worthy Reading Of Rihanna’s ‘Work’
Rihanna’s “Work” is the type of song that practically no one can resist dancing to whenever it comes on. As for actually singing along to it, though? That’s where it gets a little tricky. And in that case, allow Chris Hemsworth to swoop in with the assist and teach you the lyrics.
The Huntsman: Winter’s War actor channeled his inner Bad Girl Riri at BBC Radio 1 this week, where he performed a dramatic reading of “Work.” Well... OK, it’s not completely serious -- even Chris can’t stifle a smile as he recites the semi-unintelligible chorus. But, assisted by a monochrome filter that drastically ups the drama factor, Chris makes the dancehall jam sound utterly Shakespearean.
Clearly moved by the power of his own interpretation, Chris admitted, “It drummed up a whole lot of feelings and emotions and past experiences.
“It makes you just want to get to work,” he continued. “You hear that, kids? Get a job.”
Soooo, can we all agree that the “paper drop” is the new “mic drop”? Good.
