Things are about to get a whole lot more undead up in here.

Following the success of the endearing 2009 movie "Zombieland," from director Ruben Fleischer, Amazon has ordered up a television pilot based loosely on the film's plot, EW.com reports. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the original screenplay, as well as producer Gavin Polone, will all participate in the new project.

Don't expect to see Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Emma Stone back for more zombie-slashin' thrills though; Kirk Ward, Tyler Ross, Maiara Walsh, and Izabela Vidovic are slated to star as survivors of a zombie apocalypse fighting for their lives daily. Eli Craig will direct the first episode.

The pilot order is unlucky (or, in the case of Team "Zombieland," lucky) number 13 for Amazon, which has committed to pilots for a dozen other original shows, which will be available to Amazon Prime subscribers. Viewers will have a chance to vote on the quality of the shows before Amazon commits to more episodes, unlike the model Netflix is using for "House of Cards," in which it ordered an entire season of the show, sight unseen.

For those skeptical whether the thrills of "Zombieland" can translate to an episodic small screen model, fear not: In 2005, Reese and Wernick pitched CBS on a "Zombieland" series. Only after it was passed up did the two rewrite their story to a feature film length, sailing into the annals of zombie-killin' history.

Amazon has not yet announced when the pilot will be released, but we assume there'll be plenty of time to study up on Columbus' rules for living in Zombieland, and to get in plenty of cardio.
