'Shawn Carter Of Mars' Justifies John Carter's Thug

It's the Roc in the building … Dejah, Sola, Tars in the house. Yes, live from Barsoom, City of Helium, it's ya boy, Young. The Martians is in the house.

As the huge-scale sci-fi rumpus "John Carter" drops into theaters, it seems kind of fitting that the title Confederate soldier should get a hip hop remix starring Shawn Corey Carter, better known as Jay-Z. HOV!

In the parody trailer "Shawn Carter of Mars," Sri Lankan comedian Jehan has seamlessly integrated the rapper's face onto Taylor Kitsch's pasty visage through highly sophisticated computer techniques. Okay, he's just crudely Photoshopped in, but that makes it even better. The vocals come from the same a cappella version of "The Black Album" that Danger Mouse used for "The Grey Album."

Next step: Jay-Z starring in a parody of Michael Bay's "The Rock" called "The Roc-A-Fella."

You might have 99 problems but having a laugh ain't one if you watch this short video.
