Someone Left A Note Under The Floorboards Of A House 15 Years Ago And It's Really Creepy
When you move away from your former home, the only things you can leave behind are the happy memories. Unless you leave a creepy note to the home's new resident promising to "always be watching," that is.
Manchester, England resident Alex Moss had just moved into a new home. While replacing the old hardwood floors, he found a note written by the previous tenant -- over 15 years ago. "Having our bedroom floor replaced," Moss explained in a tweet. "Opened up the fireplace and was met with this..."
In case you can't read it, the note says:
HELLO,
WELCOME TO MY ROOM ITS 2001 AND I AM DECORATING THIS ROOM.
HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR LIFE,
REMEMBER THAT I WILL ALWAYS BE WATCHING YOU!
L8ERS,
Darren Lucas
Oddly enough, Moss wasn't immediately creeped out about this message (like I would be) and also didn't immediately move away (like I would have). Instead, he searched for wannabe watcher Darren Lucas -- and thanks to the power of Twitter, he found him.
