Kesha Thanks Her Fans In The First Message Since Her Court Date

'I am beyond words in gratitude.'

Though a judge denied her bid to get out of her recording contract with Sony on Friday (February 19), Kesha is focusing on the support of her fans.

The singer shared her first message on Instagram since her day in court, where she could be seen sobbing at the back of the courtroom as a New York Supreme Court Justice sided with her label. "I am beyond words in gratitude. Thank you is not enough but it is all I have,” she wrote. “The support I have received has left my face swollen from tears."

Kesha also promised a longer statement still to come — one she called “too large for this format."

Friday's decision on the preliminary injunction doesn’t mean Kesha has lost her legal battle; it just means she’s still got a lot more work to do if she’s going to get out of her six-album contract with Sony. It’s been more than a year since she first filed suit against Dr. Luke, and it looks like she still has a long road ahead of her.
