Watch Justin Bieber Slam His Guitar To The Ground During Hyped-Up Grammy Performance

You've never heard 'Love Yourself' or 'Where Are Ü Now' like this before.

Justin Bieber had a lot to celebrate at the Grammy Awards on Monday night. Before the show even began, he, Skrillex, and Diplo won the Best Dance Recording prize for their infectious hit “Where Are Ü Now,” marking the 21-year-old’s first-ever Grammy win.

So when it came time for JB to hit the stage, the dude was amped -- and MAN, it definitely showed. I mean... here's him slamming his guitar to the ground. Doesn't get much more rock and roll than that.

Bieber, outfitted in a backwards cap and a leopard-print jacket, started off with an acoustic version of “Love Yourself,” the tell-off ballad that sounds sickeningly sweet until you remember it’s actually hella vindictive. He changed up the key a bit and clearly had a lot of fun manning the guitar and basking in the solo spotlight. But after crooning his heart out for a couple minutes, it was time to kick things up a notch and join Skrillex and Diplo (a.k.a. Jack Ü) for “Where Are Ü Now.”

The superstar producers traded synths for guitars as they performed a more rock-leaning version of the hit. Diplo pounded away on the drums, Skrillex shredded on an electric guitar, a string ensemble provided some backing melody, and Bieber danced his Grammy-winning heart out. It's been an entire year since we first heard “Where Are Ü Now,” but a freshened-up performance like this reminds you just how timeless it is.
