Jay Electronica Fires Shots At Kendrick Lamar And 50 Cent On New Song

And on Twitter, too.

Jay Electronica has emerged from behind the I'm Not Dropping Music curtain with a new track, "#TBE The Curse Of Mayweather," which takes aim at Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent.

The Roc Nation signee dropped the song Monday night, shortly before Kendrick was set to hit the stage at the 2016 Grammy Awards. And the Grammys, in fact -- and, specifically, K. Dot's 11 nominations and the reaction to them -- are the topic of some of Elec's ire (Lamar won four awards before the start of the show).

"Man, fuck these white people/ My grandmother died at 82 scrubbing floors/ And n----s still running around begging for awards," he raps.

TDE President Dave Free took exception to the lyric, and tweeted at Jay shortly after the song hit the 'net, mentioning Kendrick's much discussed 2013 verse on "Control" -- a Big Sean song which also featured Electronica.

50 earns a brief mention on the track, too: "I might be on Periscope getting pissed, talking reckless/ Contemplating an all-out war on Fif."

This isn't completely out of nowhere, since earlier this month, Jay spoke ill of both Kendrick and 50 while broadcasting on Periscope. Then, on Instagram this weekend, 50 said of Jay, “who is that? I don’t even know a song from him. LMAO."

Also, this means that Jay Electronica hasn't completely stopped recording music, so, there's that.
