Watch All Time Low Pay Tribute To Musician And 'Brother' Jason Gaviati

'I'm very glad to have known him,' Alex Gaskarth said before 'Cinderblock Garden.'

Sayreville, NEW JERSEY -- The vibe of All Time Low's special, intimate concert at the Starland Ballroom was both electric and somber on Sunday night (Nov. 22).

In the small venue, the band played a nostalgic set list (the band performed their 2006 release Put Up Or Shut Up in its entirety -- NBD) and paid tribute longtime friend and musician Jason Gaviati, who tragically passed away on Saturday after battling Burkitt Lymphoma. Jason had recently been released from the hospital and was in remission.

"We could make forever after all / Finding the gold in our darkest moments / Watching the roads turning into white roses"

Jason Gaviati -- known as "Gavi" -- was the touring pianist and main "sidekick" of violinist Lindsey Stirling and had been roommates with ATL's Alex Gaskarth and Rian Dawson.

"A very good friend and brother of ours passed away last night," Gaskarth told the Starland Ballroom crowd, "Before we play this next song, I just want to let you guys know that when we did the acoustic version of this song, 'Cinderblock Garden,' Jason Gaviati actually did all of the piano and the string arrangements. What you're hearing tonight is what we worked on together and I am f--king honored, so privileged to have been able to work with him. I want to send this one out to him. Just pay attention to his f--king genius during the song because it's beautiful. I'm very glad to have known him."

All Time Low released an official statement regarding the remaining dates of their current "Back To The Future Hearts Tour", regrettably announcing cancellations of all upcoming meet and greets and appearances. Fans have been completely supportive of the band's decision and the guys will continue to give their all on stage -- as they always do -- during this difficult time.
