Who Is Mango And Why Was He At The CFDAs?

The last person you'd expect to see at the CFDAs (basically the Oscars of fashion) is a goofy comedian. UNLESS, of course, he was dressed as the most fashionable Saturday Night Live character of all time (besides Maya Rudolph as Donatella). We're talking about none other than Mango, the enchanting exotic dancer played by Chris Kattan during his time on the show. When we saw Mango walk down the red carpet as Alexander Wang's date, we were equal parts excited and confused. Sure, we were stoked to see the character resurrected in leather hot pants and a glittery beret, but also...why was he there in the first place?
Well, this morning the full video for a Wang x Mango campaign collab dropped, and it's like Kattan's golden-shorted alter ego never left. As a refresher (or a v. important history lesson for those of you who may have missed/not been born during the character's 1997-2002 run), here are some of Mango's most stylish and sassy moments.
