The White House has been compromised, and you're the only one who can save the day.
To celebrate the debut of "White House Down," Sony Pictures Interactive has released a browser-based game for iPad and Android tablets. Dubbed "Take Back the White House," the game sees players take control of a special ops strike force on a mission to reclaim the White House through a series of mini-games.
After introductions from President Sawyer (Jamie Foxx) and Officer John Cale (Channing Tatum) players are introduced to the district map, which fills us in on which areas are still occupied by enemy forces. Before attempting to regain control of the White House you'll have to capture at least 4 of the 6 districts. This is where you'll have to decide if you want to go all cyber-bully on those baddies, or simply rush in guns-blazing.
Hacking and all-out attacks are both permitted, and each is presented as it's own mini-game. Hacking, for instance, will see players attempting to rearrange a series of dots and the lines that connect them until none are touching. The attack option, on the other hand, will task players with using their supplied forces to fill a virtual game board. Whether or not you win depends on just how qick you are and how many forces you have at your disposal. Before you attack a district make sure you scout things out. It's nice to know what you're going up against.
You can play "Take Back the White House" by clicking here from your iPad or Android tablet's browser.
