VMA nominee FKA twigs has vowed to get weird on her new EP, and with her brand new track, "Figure 8," she's delivered on that promise -- in the best way possible.

"Figure 8" premiered today (August 3) on Zane Lowe's Beats Radio 1 show. After killing it at Lollapalooza, twigs spoke with MTV News about her new sound, claiming, “It’s very raw and quite dark in places, but you’ve just got to go through it to get to the light."

Fitting, because "Figure 8" begins all dark and twisted, with twitchy electronic bits and dizzying, experimental shifts. Eventually, twigs' angelic voice breaks through, accenting the track's booming background. Typically weird and cool, as we've come to expect from twigs, but with a fresh twist that gets us reaaaally excited for her new EP (titled Melissa) to drop later this month.
