Wale Got The Last Laugh In His Basketball Beef With Drake

The Wizards are moving on.

Wale and Drake have been embattled in a bit of a friendly rivalry lately. And it's not music-related.

The two rappers have been trying to one up each other with the help of their hometown NBA teams, and Wale just got the last laugh -- for this year, at least.

The DMV native gloated on Instagram on Sunday after his Washington Wizards -- for whom he serves as the Creative Liaison -- swept Drizzy's Toronto Raptors in the NBA Playoffs -- the organization for which he serves not only as the most famous fan, but Global Ambassador.

"If u readin this you've been swept @champagnepapi....'u knowHowdishhgo' #stillmyWoe but #runninTHRUthedueceWitMyWall," Wale wrote on Instagram, along with a picture of himself standing courtside at the game and holding a mini broom, symbolizing the Wizards' four games-to-none victory over the Raps.

Paul Pierce, one of the stars of the Wizards, actually hit Aubrey with a more scathing boast.

It's probably all love between Pierce and Drake, though, as cameras caught them embracing after Game 2 in the series (a Toronto politician, though, was not happy).

Despite the loss, the If You're Reading This, It's Too Late rapper showed plenty of love to his squad in an Instagram post of his own (no direct response to Wale's taunts, unfortunately).

"Great season from our guys," he wrote. "Tough ending but we will be back to make history next year. All Star 2016 in our city and our Raps will only get stronger. Thank you to all the fans!!!"

In all likelihood, Wale's Wizards will be taking on the Atlanta Hawks next round. Hopefully 2 Chainz is ready to trash-talk.
