Whatever You Do, Don't Let Michael Fassbender Shave You
With Reporting by Josh Horowitz
Michael Fassbender is a man of many talents, but shaving your face is not one of them.
The acclaimed actor stars in "Slow West," an upcoming Western starring Kodi Smit-McPhee and Ben Mendelsohn, about a pair of gunslingers on a mission through Colorado. In the film, there's a scene where Silas (Fassbender) shaves his companion Jay (Smit-McPhee), using a very serious looking knife as his instrument of choice. Not exactly what you would hope to see when visiting the barber — and to hear Smit-McPhee tell it, Fassbender is not the barber you want to seek out to begin with.
"He's a rough man," he warned when chatting with MTV News about the scene. "There was a lot of blood at the end of the day."
Was making "Slow West" really such a bloody affair, or is Smit-McPhee just a bloody good actor? Watch the interview and find out for yourself:
"Slow West" opens in theaters and on iTunes on May 15.
