See Every Outfit Taylor Swift Has Ever Worn At The Grammys
While Taylor Swift is not performing at the Grammys this year, she will be in attendance—hi, she's nominated for 3 awards—and will be presenting. This show will be monumental for two reasons—it's the first year Taylor is nominated in a pop category, and it's the first year she has her short hair.
We decided that, since changes are afoot, it would be the perfect time to take a look back at Taylor's other Grammy looks. Strangely enough, they are surprisingly heavy on peasant tops. Peep 'em all below!
2008
At her first Grammys in 2008, Taylor wore a custom Sandy Spika gown. Between the color of the gown, the tightness of her curls, and that light eyeliner, this is a verrrry different look from the Taylor of the 2014 Grammys.
2009
For her second appearance, Taylor wore a plunging KaufmanFranco dress. She wore her curls up, but kept the ~sparkle~ in the corners of her eyes.
For her performance—with Miley Cyrus, what?!?—she changed into a much more casual look, including a sheer dress and knee-high boots.
2010
In 2010, Taylor stuck with KaufmanFranco, but traded simple black for sparkly blue.
For her performance, Tay ditched the sparkle for a ruffled peasant top with black pants. She let her hair down and let those curls get their moment in the spotlight.
2012
The following year, Taylor wore a glittery, high-collar gown from Zuhair Muard. She didn't wear her inner eye sparkle, instead going with a low-key makeup look. P.S. How weird is it that at a point in recent memory Taylor Swift didn't wear red lipstick?! So weird.
For her performance of "Mean," Taylor wore a vintage floral dress and side braid. It was her bangs' Grammys debut, so congratulations to them.
2013
In 2013, her bangs got their Grammys red carpet debut, alongside a crown braid and a white J. Mendel gown. The gown had quite the plunging front, but had a metallic silver harness-situation going on.
For her performance of "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," Taylor was a circus ringleader vision in all white.
She quickly ditched the full-length coat and top hat for easier ~movement~.
2014
And, finally, last year, Taylor wore a gold Gucci chainmail gown. She wore her hair up yet again, which makes 2008—her first Grammys!—the only year she's worn it down. Everything could change with short hair, you know?
For her performance of "All Too Well," Taylor switched into a slightly more glamorous look than her previous performance outfits—it was white and the skirt billowed out perfectly from her piano bench.
2015
This year, Taylor killed the red carpet in her green-blue Elie Saab dress. She matched her earrings and rings to the dress, and wore her short hair down and sleek.
