'Ant-Man': Watch The First Full (Sized) Trailer Now

Huge news, everyone: Size puns are back.

We had tiny, tiny hopes for the first full trailer from Marvel's next big-screen adventure, "Ant-Man" -- but consider them officially smushed flat. That's because the trailer is finally here, and our expectations were blown away.

You almost could say: We c-ant even.

The movie stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, a thief -- but, you know, a nice one -- who ends up inheriting the size-changing suit first worn by scientist Henry Pym (Michael Douglas). Along with Pym's daughter, Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly), they'll have to battle evil industrialist Darren Cross (Corey Stoll), who has a few powers of his own up his sleeve.

"Ant-Man" hasn't had the smoothest road to the screen. The movie was originally developed by Edgar Wright, before the fan-favorite director abruptly left the project on May 23, 2014. After a flurry of rumors hit the Internet, things seemed hopeless for the smallest Avenger (well, not yet Avenger, at least) -- that is, until director Peyton Reed hopped on board.

Reed certainly had big shoes to fill, but, given this trailer, it looks like he won't be spoiling anyone's picnic with his take on the hero.

"Ant-Man" hits theaters on July 17.
