Fifth Harmony's ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ Cover Will Get You In The Holiday Sprit
While we have yet to even celebrate Thanksgiving, there's no reason we can't get in the holiday spirit a little early.
And what better way to do that than with the help of Fifth Harmony and Meghan Trainor?
5H (who are this week's MTV's Artist To Watch) and the "All About That Bass" singer are part of Epic Records' upcoming EP, I'll Be Home For Christmas, and they've recorded some festive holiday tracks for the project.
And the "Bo$$" singers decided to take on a Christmas classic in Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You."
Keeping the glossy production of the original song, the girls trade off on the verses and totally nail that high note Mariah does so flawlessly.
Meghan contributes her own original track to the mix, "I'll Be Home," a sweet soft ballad in which she promises to be home just in time for the holiday.
"I'll find my way back home and light up every tree/ We will hang our stockings for you and one for me/ 'Cause Santa called to make sure I'm prepared/ He said pack your bags and tell them you'll be there," she sings.
Also appearing on the EP, out November 24, are A Great Big World, Fiona Apple, Tamar Braxton and a duet from Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson.
