While Hilary Duff has been busy "Chasing The Sun," Aaron Carter has been, well, chasing her. Or, rather, the dim and faded snapshot of their time together -- you know, more than 10 years ago. Duff's reaction to his not-so-sub subtweets on the matter? A hearty, "Huh?"

"I keep seeing that, that he keeps doing that," Duff told BuzzFeed about those impassioned tweets Carter directed at her last spring. "I don't know how I feel. I mean, that was so long ago, and obviously I’m still married, and I have a baby and we kind of just... don't know each other... so... yeah."

Somebody call Gotye.

Back in March, Carter tweeted -- not so subtly -- about how he was a "stupid douche" for losing the Duff, who he called the love of his life. They broke up when they were basically still kids, back when we had all started finally chilling out about that whole "new millennium" thing.

Duff married just a few years ago, tying the knot with boyfriend Mike Comrie, a Canadian former hockey player for the NHL. Still, they did separate earlier this year, so perhaps Carter's efforts weren't wholly in vain?

That doesn't mean he should continue to profess his love in 140-character form, however. You know what Mariah said about butterflies, dude.
