Nicki Minaj Gives 'The Pink Print' A Release Date -- Kind Of

It's before 2015, at least.

Slowly but surely, we're getting a taste of the zone Nicki Minaj is in for her new album, The Pink Print. We've got "Pills N Potions," her catchy Dr. Luke-produced hit single, but also "Anaconda," an uptempo rap record. And there are those remixes she's been dismantling, like Beyonce's "Flawless" and Rae Sremmurd's "No Flex Zone."

And now, we finally know when we'll get to hear the rapper's third album. Kind of.

"The album will definitely be out in the fourth quarter of the year," she told Carson Daily on 97.1 AMP Radio. "I just have to say that I’m at such a different place as a human being. I know artists say that all the time but now I understand why. Nothing really surprises me anymore. I handle things more maturely. Just writing wise I can put my thoughts together better I feel."

She also suggested that, in some ways, she's going in a bit of a new direction -- and has already made a fan out of one fellow star.

"Sonically I think the album sounds so amazing," she added. "And there are so many surprises on the album. I had Drake come by the studio the other day and he was like 'Oh my god, you’re talking about new stuff, I’m so proud of you.' And that’s what I’m most excited about. I’m speaking about new things on this album. I’m excited I’m not allowing anyone else to define what the album is going to be."

That echoes what she revealed to MTV News back in May, speaking excitedly about the project and what fans can expect.

“I’m excited to make them feel a sense of love and a sense of growing up, musically and just as a woman,” she told us. “And lyrically to remind n---as that I’ m still the motherf--kin’ queen, n---a.”

All hail the Queen later this year.
