In the video below, the veteran competitor breaks down his ideal night out, and considering his intensity on “Free Agents,” you may be surprised to hear that it’s pretty mellow. He’s certainly come a long way since his party-boy days in Key West!

After a stroll on the boardwalk and a couple of cocktails at his favorite L.A. haunt, Bananas heads to a no-frills house party. There, he takes in picturesque views of The Hills lit up at night.

“I like to surround myself with high-energy, awesome people,” the proven athlete says between greeting friends and cracking jokes. “It doesn’t take much to make me happy.”

Well, we’re sure a first-place finish in Uruguay wouldn’t hurt!
