Austin Mahone Locks In A New Role: Find Out Where To Watch

The 'Banga Banga' singer will appear on Will Arnett's sitcom, 'The Millers,' later this season.

Get your DVRs ready! Austin Mahone has just landed a guest spot on CBS' "The Millers."

The sitcom, which stars "Arrested Development" actor Will Arnett, will feature the pop star in a flashback scene in an episode airing later this year, E! reports. During his appearance, he'll play a younger version of Adam (Nelson Franklin), who is Will's brother-in-law on the rookie series.

A rep for the show hadn't responded to MTV News request for additional information by press time.

Mahone previously appeared on Nickelodeon's "Big Time Rush" in 2013. During his cameo, he played himself and rocked a top hat. At the time he shared that he hoped his experience on the show would prepare him for future acting gigs. "It was a really fun thing to do and BTR even taught me some acting tricks so I'll be ready for my next role!" he said in a statement.

In addition to the latest acting gig, Mahone is working on his debut album, set for release later this year.

He has told MTV News that the album will not only feature up-tempo tunes like "Banga Banga," but also some slower tracks as well. "There's some really cool ballads, maybe a couple really good collaborations," he explained. "You just got to wait and see for yourself and get it when it comes out."

"I want my first album to just be crazy, like, 'Aw man this kid is like, this came out of nowhere, he's got an insane album,' so, I mean, I've worked with so many talented producers and so I just want to pick the right songs for it," he told us.
