Weiland Announces Initial Set Of Dates For Tour

It looks like Scott Weiland will be rolling out those "12 Bar Blues" on the road during an extensive tour this summer.

According to Ticketmaster, Weiland has finished selecting musicians for his backing band, having tapped producer-guitarist Daniel Lanois, former Pornos For Pyros bassist Martyn LeNoble and guitarist Peter DiStefano, all of whom played on "Blues," along with drummer Victor Indrizzo of Samiam.

[article id="1429241"]As we previously reported[/article], Weiland will kick off his tour with an appearance at the Save Tibet concert in Atlanta on May 9.

Weiland and company plan until the end of the summer, but have only announced dates and venues for the initial leg. Those dates are:

  • 5/9 - Atlanta, GA @ Chastain Park
  • 5/11 - Charlotte, NC @ Spirit Square
  • 5/12 - Virginia Beach, VA @ Pavilion Square
  • 5/13 - Philadelphia, PA @ Theater of Living Arts
  • 5/15 - Washington, DC @ 9:30 Club
  • 5/16 - Washington, DC @ RFK

  • 5/19 - Cleveland, OH @ The Odeon
