Oasis Tours North America in April

The Brit-rockers in Oasis have just announced North American dates for their upcoming world tour to support their fourth studio album, "Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants," due out in the U.S. on February 29.

The 19-date North American leg is scheduled to begin on April 5 at Seattle's Paramount Theater and culminate on May 8 at Mexico City's Sports Palace. Prior to the North American leg, Oasis will first swing through Japan, then play Paris, Cologne, Germany, and Brussels, Belgium.

The tour will mark Oasis' first extended outing since hiring guitarist Gem Archer, formerly of Heavy Stereo, to replace Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, and Ride guitarist Andy Bell to fill the bass-playing slot left open by the departed Paul McGuigan.

Following the North American dates, Oasis will return to the U.K. to play London's Wembley Stadium on July 21 and 22.
