Gov't Mule To Join Steve Miller Band Tour

From Australia to Japan to Hawaii and back home again to the States, Gov't Mule's grueling concert schedule will no doubt see the band cleaning up on frequent flier miles (not to mention festival appearances) in the coming months.

The Southern rockers will join Steve "Fly Like An Eagle" Miller as the opening act on a month-long tour across the country beginning June 9 in Lewiston, New York and ending July 9 in Temecula, California.

Without even a day of rest, the Miller leg of the band's road trip begins immediately after Mule's own extensive headlining tour, which has been extended beyond the spring (see [article id="1429661"]"Gov't Mule Plans N.Y. Release Parties, Tour"[/article]). The outing now takes them from the International East Coast Blues & Roots Festival in Australia to Chicago's famous Blues Fest.

The tour also affords the band an opportunity to meet up with Widespread Panic (Nashville River Stages, May 6), DJ Logic

(New Orleans, May 6), Jonny Lang (Minneapolis, May 20), and Ratdog and The Neville Brothers (Philadelphia, May 29).

Tacking a September 16 show in Telluride, Colorado onto the end of its tour list, the band hints on its Web site, www.mule.net, that more dates will be added soon.

Until then, you can see Mule on its own or with The Steve Miller Band at the following shows.
