Britney, 'N Sync, Mariah, Elton Pitching In For "Help-A-Thon"

Britney Spears and 'N Sync are among the high-profile artists who will encourage young people to pledge their time to volunteer work via Nickelodeon's 6th annual "Big Holiday Help-a-thon.

The bi-coastal event will feature those artists as well as the A*Teens, My Town, and Aaron Carter performing at a pre-taped "Holiday Jam" in Los Angeles. Live segments will be broadcast from a dance party in New York City (see [article id="1434402"]"Britney Spears Plans TV Appearances, DVD/Video, New Album"[/article]).

Big Help spokesperson Mariah Carey and Elton John are among the artists who will appear in segments discussing their personal experience with performing volunteer work.

The Big Help-a-thon" is scheduled to air Saturday, December 11 from 8 to 10 p.m. (ET) on the Nickelodeon network.
